The 21st Century has been dubbed the "Century of Biology". There should be a number of exciting careers in a number of different areas for people with a background in biology. The following sites provide information about CAREERS/JOBS in Biology and/or in fields related to Biology. This is not an exhaustive list of information -- much more information is available. For example, both the sites developed by Portland State University and Furman University contain many more links. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics has information about many other careers besides those linked here. Furthermore, try searching the web using the phrase "Careers in __ (name of field)" on any of the search engines. The links below should get you started in finding out about the many careers available to people with a degree in biology. Before you get started surfing some of the sites listed below, you might want to read "Biology Careers for the Next Century" by Dr. John Snyder.
