RESEARCH AREAS
This page is for researchers as well as students interested in participating in some of my projects. My research falls in two categories:
- Technology and Mathematics.
I study and develop tools to help students as well as teachers teach and learn mathematics. The emphasis of this work is that tools should be made available to everybody. Thus, they are available on the web.
- Applied Mathematics.
I study mathematical techniques used for image processing and computer graphics. I then develop and use tools which implement these techniques.
For more details about each area, use the menu on the left.
After you have visited this site, if you decide you would like to be involved, please contact me at plaval@kennesaw.edu .
Finally, this site will always be under construction as the list of projects I am working on or planning to work on changes constantly. I will try to update it as often as time permits.
To navigate, use the menu on the left. The entries have the following meaning:
- Department of Mathematics: Takes you to the home page of the Department of Mathematics at Kennesaw State University, the university where I work.
- Home: Takes you to my home page.
- Introduction: Takes you to this page.
- Technology and Mathematics: Describes in detail my activities in this area. It also gives access to the tools I have developed as well as the projects I am working on and the projects I have planned for the near future.
- Applied Mathematics : Takes you to my work related to this area. It gives access to some of the work I have done as well as the projects I am working on and the projects I have planned for the near future.
