Team Project

 

 

During the first few weeks of class, you will be assigned to a team. Your assignment is to select a problem that can be solved using a database approach. This may be a real problem, or you may use ideas from the text book to create your own problem to solve.

Content

1) Executive Overview including description of organization, problem your system solves, current status of project, and next steps. Click here for an example.
2) Diagrams:  E-R Diagram (or Class Diagram)   and Use-Case Diagram (optional)
3) Relational Schema with keys indicated
4) Data Dictionary  If Datawarehouse, DD must include the mapping of the destination to the source as well as the time interval that data will be extracted.

 

List containing description of each Form (program)

CRUD Matrix  (Forms versus Tables Matrix)

5) Complete listing of populated tables
   Print out of Forms and Reports (with Data entered) and a narrative of each (similar to a simple User Guide)
    Queries (at least one using 2+ tables) plus narrative describing the purpose of each query

Appendices: Minutes of Meetings, GANTT and/or PERT chart printed in MS-Project (reduced to 1 page)
