First of all, you should know that if a class instructor
is listed as "staff", then that assignment has not yet been made. However,
it will not be me. I have my full schedule, and all of my classes
have my name on them.
I understand that some of my classes for next semester may be closed (full). I want you to know that, much as I would like to help, there is nothing that I can do to put an additional person into a class that is full. Truly, I am not allowed to do it. It's all based in the registrar's office. So my best advice to you is to keep checking the enrollment, because spaces *do* become available.
I am swamped by requests by people asking me to do this for them. Please do not place such a request, because I cannot do it. I have no reason to check on a regular basis to see if the section is full, and even if I did, I could not choose among the many people who have asked me to place them into the class.
I advise you to register for another section, so that you are not shut out from taking the class completely. You may even find another professor that you like better than me! I never advise students to put off taking a math class, since the more time that elapses between your math classes, the harder you will find it to remember the prerequisite material. And I do not know what I will be teaching the following semester.
Good luck!
