LINUX Systems Administration
Summer 2002
COURSE DESCRIPTION:
CSIS 4490/02 System Administration LINUX
Students will install and manage a LINUX system.
Topics include systems installation, management, performance monitoring, security,
user management, networking, system configuration.
In addition to laboratory experiences in installation and management of LINUX,
experiments will investigate LINUX functioning related to operating systems theory.

6/25/02 Lab 3: Dr. Setzer will supervise.
- LAB 2 Compiling programs
- Projects 5-1, 5-2, 5-3, from textbook, on X-Windows.
- Also, use the documentation on the computer/video card to configure X-windows to take advantage of
the video card capabilities.

- Return Midterm, go over & discuss
