Chapters 1 through 9

Are generally considered review material. Students having difficulty understanding basic concepts of should refer back to these chapters.
Students are explicitly responsible for panels 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 2-4, 2-5, 2.6, 3-1, and 3-2

Chapter 10

Know the entire chapter in detail.

Chapter 11

Know the entire chapter in detail except for: "Myelination Increases the Speed and Efficiency of Action Potential Propagation in Nerve Cells" and everything after that. I will cover a simpler version of nerve transmission in class. Note that I may use some of the diagrams from the omitted section; then you are responsible for the omitted diagrams.

Sample Questions

Warning! These questions are posted solely to provide examples of past test questions. There is no guarantee that any of these questions will be on any examination at any time in any future. Students who depend exclusively on sample questions to prepare for exams tend to do more poorly than students who keep up with the notes and reading on a daily basis. Please consult the syllabus for specific details about tests and grading.
