Computer Science &
Information Systems Department
Doctor Donald Amoroso has been the CSIS department chair as of July 2007. He chose to come to KSU due in part to its proximity to the Atlanta
area. He feels that he can establish partnerships with companies based in the Atlanta area, which will strengthen the CSIS Department. He
believes the CSIS deparment at KSU is the right "fit" for his expectations because of the number of programs, graduate and
undergraduate, and the excellent students affiliated with the department.
Dr. Amoroso is very excited about and looking forward to the Doctor of Science program the CSIS department is proposing. He believes that by offering a terminal degree, KSU will move to the next level and be able to more effectively compete with schools currently offering doctorate programs. Dr. Amoroso is pleased that KSU is so well known for it's security program and expertise, and believes integrating security into the doctorate program will enhance the degree.
Dr. Amoroso enjoys publishing academic papers and encourages faculty and students to work together on research projects. Many of his projects have a substantial component, and he's always looking for qualified students to assist in his research activities.
Feel free to visit Dr. Amoroso in the CSIS department!
