Hello, my name is Xinhao Gu, a computer science grad in
Kennesaw State University. By the time you read this, I am very glad you here. The main reason I create this simple page is that I want use this as a platform to assist my Mashups research project.
So, what is Mashup anyway?
Wiki said "In technology, a mashup is a web application that combines data from more than one source into a single integrated tool; an example is the use of cartographic data from Google Maps to add location information to real-estate data from Craigslist, thereby creating a new and distinct web service that was not originally provided by either source.Mashup originally referred to the practice in pop music (notably hip-hop) of producing a new song by mixing two or more existing pieces."
Companies like Amazon, eBay, Flickr, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo and Youtube, they open their APIs. People can easily aggregate the remote (third party) source to their own applications, sounds cool itsn't it!
Right now, some one might say " How can we creat a mashup, then what tools could we use?" Well, by the time you read this article, there only three tools available to edit mashups. They are ===> (feel free to click them)
