Open advisement occurs immediately prior to and during registration. During this time, advisement is scheduled on an appointment basis only. See the advisement book located outside the CSIS office for times and availability. During open advisement, you do not have to schedule a time with your regular advisor, you may sign up to see whoever is available at a time that is convenient to you.

If you are considering CS or IS as a major, we strongly recommend that you take CSIS 2300, 2301, and 2302 as soon as possible (preferrably in your sophomore year) in order to prevent difficulties associated with the prerequisite structure.

Effective Fall 2000, all students graduating under the 2000-2001 degree requirements must earn a "C" or better in all upper and lower division requirements. This will be checked before graduation, not during enrollment.
