To ensure your success at KSU
and beyond it is important to take advantage of the numerous
opportunities for scholastic and professional development
offered in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
Once you have declared a major in our Department you will be
assigned an academic advisor. This advisor is a key
component to your development, and it is recommended that
you stay in close contact to remain informed throughout your
time at KSU.
Students are also encouraged to perform undergraduate
research with our faculty or to seek out an internship
through Career Services. These opportunities to
network and grow as an educated individual serve our
graduates well after KSU. Other ways to get involved within
our Department include joining one of our student
organizations or sharing your knowledge by
becoming a teaching assistant, chemistry tutor or peer
leader.
Additional resources within the Department include free
chemistry tutoring and several scholarships to
reward our outstanding students. Please check-out the rest
of our online resources and important forms
available on this site, and feel free to contact any of our
faculty or staff with questions.
