Welcome to the Department of Biology & Physics at Kennesaw State University! We have a large and diverse faculty group active in research in a variety of areas including Aquatic Ecology, Plant Ecology, Restoration Ecology, Biotechnical Molecular Ecology, Molecular & Cell Biology, Biotechnology, Science Education, Radio Astronomy and Theoretical Particle Physics. We offer Bachelor's degrees in general Biology, Biotechnology, and Biology Education as well as M.A.T. degrees in Biology & Physics. The strength of our department is in undergraduate research opportunities. We feel that participation in research as undergraduates is an essential element of students' development as scientists. Therefore we offer a myriad of opportunities regardless of the students' area of interest. Our students have competed favorably against graduate students in their research presentations at professional meetings across the country.
