Georgia's SBIR Resource Program

The SBIR Resource Program is sponsored by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia and The Georgia Power Company. The mission of the SBIR Resource Program is to educate technology based small businesses, throughout the State, on the availability of Federal grants to fund innovation.

The secondary objective is to facilitate networking capability between the research and applied science faculty, of all public and private universities in the State of Georgia, and the small businesses needing their expertise.

Services

  • The SBIR Resource program is committed to getting the word out that there are significant opportunities for entrepreneurs, inventors, and risk taking, technology based small businesses to augment their Research and Development budgets with Federal grants.
  • Research and applied science faculty have a means to establish direct business relationships without university involvement, other than the conditions for using university facilities and equipment.
  • Small businesses will be able to readily locate university researchers and technologists who have specific knowledge, skills and interests in the companies’ technologies', through the SBIR Resource Program.
