CSIS Curriculum Committee Meeting Minutes

April 25, 2007

Present: Amy Woszczynski, Mike Whitman, Ken Hoganson, Solomon Negash, Pamila Dembla, Hisham Haddad.

1. There were multiple proposals presented related to changes in the BS-IS and BS-ISA degree programs.

2. Summary of the proposed changes in the BS-IS program:

a. Removing CSIS 2520 as a Lower Division Major Requirement

b. Moving and renumbering ISA 3100 from an Upper Division Major Requirements to ISA 2100 as a Lower Division Major Requirements

c. Making ISA 3200 a new upper division requirement

3. Summary of the proposed changes in the BS-ISA program:

a. Removing CSIS 2520 as a Lower Division Major Requirement

b. Moving and renumbering ISA 3100 from an Upper Division Major Requirements to ISA 2100 as a Lower Division Major Requirements

c. Making CSIS 3550 a new upper division requirement

4. These changes also require prerequisite updates to CSIS 3530, CSIS 3550, and CSIS 4420.

5. These changes also require course number and prerequisite changes to ISA 3100 and ISA 3200.

6. Since the proposals were all related to each other, a motion was made and seconded that we vote on all of them as a package. Motion carried.

7. Mike moved that we accept the proposals as presented, and it was seconded. Motion carried.
